Accessibility statement for baton-clinical.com
We want everyone who visits this website to be able to use it. This page says how accessible it is, what does not work well yet, and how to tell us about a problem.
Prepared on 21 October 2026. The website was last tested on 21 October 2026.
1. What this statement covers
This statement covers the website at baton-clinical.com. The website is run by Baton Clinical Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17548392.
It does not cover the Baton application that clinic staff and patients sign in to. A clinic that uses Baton is responsible for the accessibility of its own website and its own patient pages.
2. Using this website
You should be able to:
- change colours, contrast and fonts using the settings in your browser or device
- zoom in up to 400% and read the text without scrolling sideways, apart from one chart, which keeps a readable size and scrolls sideways on a narrow screen. You can scroll it with the arrow keys.
- move through the whole website using only a keyboard
- use speech recognition software to follow links and fill in the form
- listen to the website using a screen reader
- turn off animation by asking your device for reduced motion. The website then shows every drawing finished and still.
The website uses plain words where it can. It has no video or audio, and no documents to download.
AbilityNet's My Computer My Way explains how to make your own device easier to use.
3. How accessible this website is
We know of no part of this website that is not accessible. On the home page:
- the boxes in the trial request form have borders you can see, and the form says which boxes you must fill in before you start
- a screen reader reads out when the form has been sent, or when there is a problem with it, and the cursor goes to the box that needs filling in
- the drawing in the opening section moves for less than 5 seconds, then stops
- the blood pressure chart has a text description that says the same thing as the chart.
4. Getting information in another format
If you need anything on this website in a different format, such as large print, easy read, a plain text email or a phone call that talks you through it, email hello@baton-clinical.com.
Tell us what you need and how we can reach you. We will reply within 5 working days.
5. Reporting a problem
We are always looking to improve the accessibility of this website. If you find a problem that is not listed on this page, or you think we are not meeting the requirements of this statement, email hello@baton-clinical.com.
Please say which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what device, browser and assistive technology you use, if you know.
6. If you are not happy with our reply
Under the Equality Act 2010, a business that provides a service must make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people can use it.
If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). It gives free advice on discrimination and human rights.
This website is run by a private company, not a public body. So the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to it, and the Equality and Human Rights Commission does not monitor it under those regulations. We follow the same standard anyway.
7. Technical information
We are committed to making this website accessible. We test it against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA. These are the international standard for accessible websites.
Compliance status
This website is fully compliant with WCAG version 2.2 AA.
8. Content that is not accessible
We know of no content on this website that does not meet WCAG 2.2 AA. If you find some, please tell us (see section 5).
9. What we are doing about it
On 21 October 2026 we fixed six problems on the home page and tested it again: pale borders on the form boxes, form messages that a screen reader did not read out, required boxes that were not marked, faint step names in "How it works", a drawing that moved for 7 seconds with no way to pause it, and a chart that could not be scrolled with a keyboard. We test every new page before it goes on the website.
10. How we prepared this statement
This statement was prepared on 21 October 2026. It will be reviewed at least once a year, and whenever the website changes in a big way.
The website was last tested on 21 October 2026, by the team that builds Baton. It has not been tested by an outside auditor. We tested every page, because there are only five:
- the home page
- this statement
- the privacy notice
- the terms of use
- the status page.
We used an automated checker (axe-core 4.10), and then checked by hand: colour contrast, keyboard use and where the focus goes, the page at 320 pixels wide and at 400% zoom, with animation turned off, and the headings, labels and text descriptions a screen reader reads out. We have not yet tested with people who use a screen reader or speech recognition.
